I held off on buying CDs for too long… and now I’m swimming in them.  Here are a few of my favorites.

Oh, and by the way, I decided to use “Taragana’s Del.icio.us” mp3 player plugin for wordpress. So far, so good. What I like about it:

• Shows the actual mp3 link so that it can be downloaded
  
• Lets you play the song directly within the page
  
• Is otherwise unintrusive.

Passion Pit

I don’t know much about these guys. All I know is that the song Cuddle Fuddle is perfect to go jogging to. These songs are from the “Chunk of Change EP” (buy it from French Kiss Records)

The Virgins

I bought “The Virgins EP” direct from their myspace page.  The first copy was cracked, but it was only $6 postage paid, so I just ordered another. I was really getting into it, so I bought the full length from Atlantic records.  My recommendation – skip the full length.  The EP does a better job of catching the energy of the band.  I’ve included one song from the EP and another from the Daytrotter Sessions that they recorded.

She & Him

I got some live recordings of She & Him several months ago, and I finally got around to buying the album, “Volume 1″.  When Katie and I gave it our first listen, she told me that the female singer was the same girl as the one from the movie Elf (we had just seen the movie only a week before).  I thought it would be an impossible coincidence, but it turns out that it wasn’t so impossible after all.  “She” is Zooey Deschanel and “Him” is M. Ward.  I thoroughly enjoyed this album.  Check out a few of the songs:
